Walk-In Appointment Times

In order to serve you better, we have added all-day walk-in appointments, available Monday through Friday during regular office hours. Walk-in appointments are on a first come, first served basis and are a great way to get your general, quick questions answered. We will continue to offer appointment times with international student advisors for appointments that may take longer than just a few minutes. We hope that our new walk-in schedule will be convenient for you and we encourage you to take advantage of these new times.

OPT information updated

Attention students: OPT information has been updated on the OIP website. In addition, requirements for OPT extensions have also been updated, including information on 17-month STEM extensions and Cap-Gap extensions.

Employment Seminars

Employment Seminars are for F-1 students interested in Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT). The seminars are designed to inform students of the rules, regulations, and procedures regarding practical training. Students are required to attend one of these seminars before meeting with an advisor to talk about or apply for practical training.

Next seminar: Thursday, December 10 at 4 p.m. in the Hidatsa Room, MU

Please click here for the complete Employment Seminar schedule for the 2009-2010 academic year.

Because students must be in F-1 status for one academic year before becoming eligible to apply for CPT or OPT, we ask that you wait until your second semester to attend an employment seminar.
